Terms and Conditions for Task n Fix

Welcome to Task n Fix, a platform designed to connect clients with professional handymen across Zimbabwe. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our mobile application and website (collectively, the "Platform"). By registering or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Platform Overview

Task n Fix is a digital marketplace for handyman services.

Service Providers (Handymen) register, create profiles, list their services, manage bookings, and interact with clients.
Clients browse services, compare providers, and book appointments based on need, availability, and pricing.
Task n Fix facilitates these interactions but does not directly provide the services.

2. User Eligibility and Account Creation

To use the platform, you must:

Be at least 18 years old.
Provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating your account.
Maintain confidentiality of your login credentials.
Agree to use the platform in compliance with Zimbabwean law.

3. Roles and Responsibilities

Clients:

May search, compare, and book services via the app or website.
Must pay the agreed fee before service commencement.
Should provide accurate service location details and access.

Service Providers (Handymen):

Must register and list only services they are qualified to offer.
Are responsible for updating availability, pricing, and service descriptions.
Must honor bookings, communicate professionally, and complete tasks as agreed.

4. Service Listings and Bookings

Providers can post a detailed description of each service, including pricing and availability.
Clients can view profiles, read reviews, and request bookings.
Once a booking is confirmed, a service agreement is formed between the Client and the Provider.
Task n Fix is not a party to the agreement but facilitates payment and communication.

5. Payments and Fees

All transactions must be made through the Task n Fix platform.
Task n Fix deducts a commission on every transaction.
Service Providers can request instant payout upon task completion and timesheet submission.
Task n Fix may hold funds temporarily in case of disputes or verification requirements.

6. Cancellations and Refunds

Clients:

Can cancel free of charge up to 2 hours before the scheduled time.
Late cancellations may incur a fee or forfeit payment.

Providers:

Repeated last-minute cancellations or no-shows may lead to account suspension.

Refund Policy:

Refunds are processed only when services are not rendered or there is verified dissatisfaction.
Requests must be submitted within 48 hours of the scheduled appointment.

7. Ratings and Reviews

After each job:

Clients can rate and review providers.
Providers can review clients.
Task n Fix reserves the right to moderate content that is offensive, false, or abusive.

8. Code of Conduct

All users must:

Act respectfully and professionally.
Not misrepresent qualifications or intentions.
Not engage in illegal or harmful behavior through the platform.

9. Disputes and Resolutions

Task n Fix is not responsible for disputes between users but may assist in resolving conflicts when:

Job expectations were not met.
Payment issues arise.
Unprofessional behavior is reported.

In serious cases, we may suspend accounts or involve local authorities.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on the Task n Fix platform (logos, designs, software, etc.) is protected by copyright and may not be reproduced without permission.

11. Platform Use and Termination

We reserve the right to:

Suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Restrict or remove content or services at our discretion.
Modify or shut down the platform with or without notice.

12. Privacy

Your data is used in line with our [Privacy Policy link]. We do not sell your data. You consent to us using your information for service delivery, communication, and platform improvement.

13. Limitation of Liability

Task n Fix:

Is not responsible for service quality, damages, or personal loss.
Does not guarantee the availability or reliability of specific providers or services.
Is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

All providers are independent contractors, not employees of Task n Fix.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Zimbabwe. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Zimbabwean courts.

15. Amendments

Task n Fix reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Users will be notified via the app or website. Continued use after changes implies acceptance.
