Task n Fix – Data Deletion Policy

At Task n Fix, we value your privacy and give you full control over your personal data. This Data Deletion Policy outlines how users of the Task n Fix platform (Clients and Service Providers) can request deletion of their personal information and what happens after such a request.

1. Your Right to Delete Data

You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data collected and stored by Task n Fix. This includes:

Your account profile information
Contact details (email, phone number, address)
Transaction history and job records
Payment or payout details
Reviews and ratings given or received

2. How to Request Deletion

You can request deletion of your data in any of the following ways:

A. In-App Request (Preferred):

Open the Task n Fix app.
Go to Profile> Delete My Account.
Follow the instructions and confirm your request.

B. Email Request:
Send an email to support@tasknfix.com with the subject line:
"Request for Data Deletion"
Include:

Your registered email address or phone number
Whether you are a Client or Service Provider
Reason for deletion (optional)

3. What Happens After You Request Deletion

Your account will be permanently deactivated.
Personal data will be removed from our active systems within 7–14 business days.
Certain non-personal data (e.g., anonymous usage stats) may be retained for analytics and system integrity.
We may retain transaction data if required by law (e.g., tax, fraud prevention).

4. Exceptions to Deletion

We may deny or delay deletion if:

There is an unresolved dispute or open investigation on your account.
We are legally required to retain some data (e.g., financial records).
The request is found to be fraudulent or abusive.

5. Data Deletion Confirmation

After your request has been processed, we will send you a confirmation email or SMS stating that your data has been permanently deleted from our systems (except where legally required to retain).
