Refund Policy for Task n Fix
At Task n Fix, we strive to ensure that Clients receive quality services and that Service Providers are fairly compensated. This Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which refunds may be issued for services booked via our platform.
1. Scope of the Policy
This policy applies to all services booked and paid for through the Task n Fix mobile app or website. It governs refunds issued to Clients and circumstances where payments to Service Providers may be withheld or reversed.
2. Refund Eligibility
Clients may be eligible for a full or partial refund under the following circumstances:
2.1 Service Not Rendered

The Service Provider did not show up for the job.

The job was cancelled by the Service Provider at the last minute and the Client does not wish to reschedule.
2.2 Poor Service Quality

The service delivered was substantially below acceptable standards.

The issue is reported within 48 hours of job completion.

Sufficient evidence (e.g., photos, messages, feedback) is provided and verified.
2.3 Overcharging or Billing Error

The Client was charged incorrectly due to a platform error or double billing.

The error is reported within 48 hours.
3. Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds will not be issued under the following circumstances:

The Client cancels the job less than 2 hours before the scheduled time.

The Service Provider has already completed the task and the Client later changes their mind.

The Client fails to provide access or necessary materials for the job to be completed.

Dissatisfaction based on personal preferences without valid justification.
4. Cancellation Refunds
Client-Initiated Cancellations

More than 2 hours before service: Full refund.

Less than 2 hours: No refund or partial refund at Task n Fix’s discretion.
Provider-Initiated Cancellations

Full refund to the Client if the Provider cancels and the Client does not want a replacement.
5. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund:

Log in to the Task n Fix app or website.

Navigate to your Bookings and select the relevant job.

Click "Report an Issue" and provide a detailed description with any supporting evidence.

Submit the request within 48 hours of the scheduled or completed service.
Task n Fix will review and respond within 5 working days.
6. Refund Process

If approved, refunds are processed through the original payment method (e.g., mobile money, bank transfer).

Refunds may take 3–7 business days to reflect, depending on the payment provider.
7. Dispute Resolution
If the refund request involves a dispute between the Client and Service Provider:

Task n Fix may mediate to reach a fair resolution.

We may interview both parties, review messages, photos, and timesheets.
-
Final decision on refunds lies with Task n Fix and is binding.
8. Abuse of Refund Policy
Repeated or fraudulent refund requests may result in:

Suspension of the user's account

Withholding of future payouts (for Providers)
-
Reporting to relevant legal authorities
